So I have this thing called "Roots 'N' Blues/The Retrospective 1925-1950." It's a terrific compilation from the early
90's. If your a fan of old blues and mountain music I can't think of a better collection. I absolutely eat this stuff up...more so even than jazz or big band.

I came up with something fun today...an old Victor disk of Joseph C. Smith's Orchestra. The tune is Ching a ling's Jazz Bazaar backed with a thing called Irene. I'm playing the heck out of it on my Victrola. Ching A Ling's may be one of the catchiest tunes I've ever heard.
