This last few weeks I've been going back to the original Alice Cooper Band albums, great stuff. Also been listening to a digital folder or work I bought from the Arkham Hillbilly. All original material in the style of old school, genuine US country songs, except all themed after and about elements of the HP Lovecraft Cthulu mythos. Tremendous fun, but the quality of songwriting underneath keeps bringing me back to them regularly also - it's not a one note joke. https://arkhamhillbilly.bandcamp.com

The original band has been getting back together sporadically of late. There are a few clips on line of them performing. In addition, they recorded a new album, The Revenge of Alice Cooper, last year. I've got tix to see him in April. I believe it's my sixth Alice show.

I've only seen him live as a solo performer - hopefully they will come over here at some point. Such a shame Glen Buxton isn't still around, but lovely they were able to posthumously incorporate tracks he had already laid down into the album. It was Revenge that actually inspired me to look back to the earlier stuff again. While I don't think it's quite on the level of, say, Killer, it's still a great album, a very credible performance, and lovely to hear the original band back together. Very much feels like a logical evolution that had to happen eventually, especially as Alice's solo work in recent decades has edged back more towards the classic era sound imo.

Alice is one of the great live showmen. I'd love to see him double bill with Iggy Pop; they have certain commonalities that I think would make them a great pairing for a show.
