What are the makers that DO NOT 'skiv their leather or use glue'?

The one on the left I personally couldn't wear, as it's length suits a man with a torso shorter than yours. Combine that that with the overhang and it appears as though it doesn't fit.
I think it's a perfect fit actually. Motorcycle jackets should be short like this imo. Otherwise they will choke you when sitting down. Also, I like the length as they wore it back in the 50s.

Elongated mc jackets like this modern schott are visually very unappealing to me.

The selfie pose doesnt help the brown jacket. It's an aero hooch hauler in badalassi and I love the fit. The freewheel
ers has the overhang . It fits well across the chest and I think one size down would be uncomfortable. I actually have wide hips, Im 6 '1, 210. The jeans are naked and famous super guy 33. Just pointing out that style and cut are not always brand dependent . I think my aeros fit as well as any other brand. Probably often better

Thankfully, this Schott has been shortened since it was originally released.

The worst offender I've seen recently was the FCL Leon– it's a Perfecto style jacket with many specific features from vintage Schotts… and then it's almost 30" long! Totally ruins the attention to detail on the other aspects.

Each to their own. :) Whatever floats your boat. Nothing wrong with different preferences. It's striking seeing jackets above the belt line on men in modern times, because typically only women's jackets ride that high.

As much as I love vintage jackets and believe me I do, anything above my belt I can’t wear. I’ve tried, I’ve wanted too…I just can’t. Sadly, typically they hit around that spot on me, with a few sacred exceptions.

Been thinking about this; There are many items of clothes that started out intended to be worn strictly by men, that then got absorbed by women's fashion & once finally, after decades of stagnation because got forbid men wear something nice, altered into something universally more attractive, all of the sudden men can't wear it anymore because it's too feminine looking.

My point is, if a shorter leather jacket looks great on a woman, what exactly prevents it from looking just as great on a man?

It's less expensive to buy a pair of higher rise jeans than it is to buy longer jackets. Not that anything we do on here is actually logical!

I'm with @Marc mndt . I cannot stand modern elongated jackets. Even if you do wear low rise jeans, the proportions are way off and it never looks right.

I also think @Monitor makes some great insights. Just because it looks good one women doesn't mean itscjust feminine and can't look good on a man.

The body shape required to wear high-rise trousers seems to be tall and thin, but mainly thin - I don't think I could wear them as the waist would probably 'bucket' in the front. To me, they make men look pigeon-chested and the torso in general too short. As someone with a longish torso and fairly short legs (29 inch inside leg), high-waisted trousers would be Marioland.

I wouldn't agree with that. I can show you my photos of me in both low and high rise jeans when I was fat. High rise was massively better.
