What an afternoon!

Hello everyone. This is my first post. I spent this Saturday afternoon with Gary White, a hatter from Buffalo NY. Heard about him on this site. He's a great guy and a great hatter and says "hi" to you all. His shop is amazing. Learned a lot about hats and how they are made. He's a rare craftsman.

Yes, he had three of them. He explained to me how each one was different and how difficult they were to make. The difference in the weaves, he also said how the thicker weaved ones were made by children, and the best one was incredible.
