Thank you, Alan.

Thanks, Cuz. Can’t complain about the way the boots turned out and they are comfortable.

I’m a big fan of the lapis style jewelry but I’m fairly conservative in what I wear. I was afraid it would be too much but this is a favorite piece, now. Always available to you.
Yeasy to see why....and you're generous to a fault, Cuz. I hope I am at least able to see it in person soon. I'm cautiously optimistic about maybe coming up that way for the panoply festival next month.

Sure hope that happens. The kid is out for her second stick today. Lady B gets hers in about 11 days and I’m still unable to register. Coming soon, they say.

Sooner than later I hope, Cuz. The hospital rolled 'em out for us in late January. I don't feel bulletproof by anyone's imagination but I do feel slightly less stressed. Back to beer most evenings instead of whiskey. Numbers are going down, but there's still plenty of folks in the icu. Not giving up on the ppe anytime soon.

It's a 4 x 6-1/2 OC, TJ. I can't remember for sure but I think it had a gambler/Drover type crease with high rolled fenders, & one of those ridiculous macrame hatbands. Here's some pics after I opened it up.

Yessir! That's a nice one. I like it! I'd love to come across a few more of those.

I have this 3X Resistol with the very profile yours has

And then I have this Knox Stagecoach that I recently refurbished. This one's 4.5 x 7 OC. It's my biggest hat. I'd love to come across more of these....

I have a Stagecoach Outlaw that is 4-1/2 x 6-3/4 OC. But it is very thick & dense Western felt. I lowered it down with a horseshoe crease & just made up a faux twisted barb wire hatband like we made in the 80's. I don't wear it much because of the heavy felt.

I think Michael Ray has a Hi-7.

I've been having fun playing around with shaping my new to me Akubra Woomera.
Found some great inspiration on this thread especially from @T Jones and @Hurricane Jack. Thanks guys.
I finally came up with this: a before and so some after shots.
View attachment 319604 View attachment 319605 View attachment 319606 View attachment 319607 View attachment 319608 I also found out that Akubra call the colour Sandstone Fawn.
Have a great weekend folks.

I like what you’re doing with that, Steve. Similar to the crease in the hat Kevin Costner wore in “Open Range”. My preference would be to see you lower the fenders somewhat, with the roll out closer to the edge of the brim, but that’s just me. That’s a good color.

Where are your boots?

Thanks Greg. Boots are on my shopping list :)

I hear you about the brim. It's very stiff at the minute. Despite a lot of steam, I only managed to flatten it slightly. I'm planning on keeping working on it though.
