what i mean is: use the Old Towns as a starting point for measurements then add whatever extra you feel you need.

17" rise with 12" fly means 5" from bottom of fly to crotch seam which seems a bit much.

11" hem is perfect for early 30s.

Thanks, HBK. I am not entirely sure if 12" was the fly measurement I gave her. I'll check that.

as for fly lengths on higher rise repops I agree that is the hardest understanding for modern makers to correctly duplicate.....to classic originals.

It's possible. That style was popular during that era. I've seen similar models sold by Sears and by Montgomery Ward, but not with that exact pattern. I'd love to see pics of yours.

In the old days, leather workwear was probably considered a luxury item as today, so most vintage photos don't show people wearing leather, mostly wool and cotton. If anyone can post more leather-intensive photos, it would be nice.
