Well here is the first montecristi I've come to own and unfortunately it is a snug fit for myself. Measures 8 x6 1/2. Brim is 2 3/4. Front at crown is 4 1/4, back is 3 5/8.
As far as weave goes I come up with at least a 24 X24 approximation per inch or about 576 wpi. The weave is straight and even through out the hat and whom ever wove this did an incredible job of it. Also has a very nice patina and there are no flaws. Coloring is consistent .
Blocking is nice and there are no hard creases. Hat is soft and pliable.
Overall an excellent example of a fine vintage montecristi.
Comes with hard hat box in very good condition .
Asking 550. / Cash / Trades for Fur felts in at least 3/8-1/2 sizes.
