and for anyone so inclined, there's some great pre-war photos of Manhattan posted in their own thread. Great, great photos - some of them in color.
I went back about a year looking for it, but came up emptyhanded. [huh]

Fantastic pictures, I love seeing all of the classic cars, the old time signs and the fashions! Not to mention the Blimp - I have had a fascination with blimps ever since I was a child!

A very timeless airship...And the cars! Just look at the chrome smiles on those babies!!

Unfortunately the only place you can now find some of that nostalgic feeling is the smaller towns or the occasional historical landmarks...
