That makes absolute sense, sizes need to match: I just never need a streamliner in effin south Florida lol.

I asked Vanson and a guy said the snap in vest would work both size, which I don’t quite understand since there is no way to adjust the space between snaps

Yes, I was told the same. A 42 streamliner will fit in both a 40 and 44.

Latest in the lineage. I'm thinking this is a late 80's-early 90's jacket. Certainly the light and softest E I've had to date. Plenty of heft but certainly nowhere near as much as the others. Has loads of character. Worthy the obsession I suppose...

That gray one was the jacket you sniped from me on eBay lol. The memory still hurts. I hesitated...and took one in the brain housing unit.

I have to say this thread has made me a fan of this pattern.
I think it's different than many "biker jacket" clones or close variations but not just to be different. In some ways it seems a more practical design.

This new one looks good. Let me know if you ever/WHEN you consider selling it.
So far that is one of the few patches I think I could live with. Usually not a fan of patches or pins in jackets. Especially by other people and I don't relate or know what they signify.
In this case a flying wheel works for me on the bike. I'm not exactly flying but she's got more than one horse-power. And I even started practicing archery this year!
...Now I wonder what it really means... ?

-Oh, I just looked it up. It's a police motorcycle patch.
The wings represent Swiftness, the arrow Precise, the wheel Motion". A Police motorcycle is swift, precise, motion.
Found that on the Google. Did you guys know you can find things on the Google? Amazing!:D

However that gray jacket that started this!
I've always been a fan of black and gray. If that fit, I'd buy it.
Of course anyone can have Vanson make that jacket again today, right?

Yeah I've had a couple Vansons with this patch. I believe it's an east coast PD thing. I dig it too. Especially b/c it's grubby.
Vanson could absolutely make you the gray E again but the pattern has changed ever so slightly. The big ass collar is gone. Which is a shame but the bones are still there. I've always loved this pattern. It's just an absolutely perfect cross zip. It works really well as a proper m/c jacket and off the bike it's as warm as B-6. Just a fortress. Needless to say...I'm a fan.

@ton312, The jacket looks awesome, man. The fit is perfect and the leather looks great. Some of Vansons current batches of leather have been questionable. I recently returned my size 48 for a 46, The fit is a whole lot better on the bike, but the hide is a little iffy. It is definitely heavily embossed. It almost appears "rubbery". It kinda reminds me of Hillside USA horsehide, and that is not a good thing. It squeaks like a mofo. Even when breathing, the thing is squeaking.

I must say it works great on the bike. I had it out in a 41 degree rain last night and it kept me warm and dry. Vanson has the pattern that works, no issues there.

The jacket works without a doubt, but I just don't know about the leather itself. The jacket is heavy for sure, but I don't like the rubbery, squeaky, corrected leather. I would gladly pay more for a better hide with this pattern.

Vanson + Horween cxl = THE ULTIMATE RIDING JACKET!!
