Got this custom made Dave Sheeley jacket last fall, and have worn it lots over the past few months. Getting some creases in the sleeves, but otherwise not much change so far. It's a great jacket. Love having the high-up handwarmers. Just figured I'd post some pics before it's put away for the summer.

Such a really cool pattern all around. I see some Sears Hercules in it, fused with an early aviator/moonshiner type jacket. Just awesome man. Fit is perfect as well.

You guys are right, it’s partly inspired by the Freewheelers Switchyard jacket and partly by a 1930s Sears jacket, I think it was called a Topline.. can’t quite remember. But yeah, I knew the elements I wanted from those jackets (buttons, handwarmers, flap pockets down low), and then in consulatation with Dave we figured out the rest. The back is Dave’s own design, you can see it on his other jackets as well; I really like it.

The hide is Italian HH (I believe the same as what Aero calls Vicenza). A light brown
That Dave hand dyed to this darker color. The lining (not pictured here) is a Pendleton plaid I got off Etsy as I recall. All the elements came together very nicely!

And here's an up to date pic of my Dave Sheeley custom "Switchline" jacket. (I dubbed it the Switchline because the design, worked out by Dave and I, is based largely on an old Sears Topline and a new Freewheelers Switchyard jacket.) This is my third winter wearing it. Not too much to report, except that I still love it and still get comments on it all the time. Starting to get just a bit of wear to the leather here and there, and some creasing. I almost always wear it with just a single button done, or else two like this pic.

Seriously beautiful jacket! A fairly unique design that we do not see too often.

Dave is finishing up my sleeve alterations now and based on his jackets I imagine they will turn out quite excellent.
