Toys McCoy Beck 666 sizing

It seems that things come in waves and despite my new years resolution to have less leather jackets I have a few grails that I just can’t pass up when they come available. One of those grails, for me, is a toys McCoy Beck 666. I have a really nice Schott cafe racer in Shinki that was released a few years back but I think it is slightly too big for me in size medium. It’s just very baggy on me. I have a small waist and hips but huge ****. Any how I miraculously tracked down a brand new TMC Beck 666 in size 42.. I can’t seem to find a size chart on these jackets.

The measurements for the size 42 as measured by the seller are, shoulder 42:49, chest 57.5, length 63.5, sleeve 65.

I’ve never seen shoulders as two measures but my ideal shoulder is about 17.7-18”
My chest is a 40-41, my sleeve is 24.5 ish and an ideal length for me is about 24.5 ish.

I am 5’ 10” on a good day, and 173 pounds today with muscular but thin build.

Anybody have a size chart on this jacket I have a suspicion a size 40 would be more perfectly trim, but it could be just a little small as well. My worry is I buy this size 42 and am buying another slightly too big cafe racer.

So you are about 5’ 11” with a 19” shoulder and 42” chest and you felt like a 44 Beck 666 was tight? How much do you weigh if you don’t mind me asking.?


I found this chart and it seems like a size 40 would be better but you saying a 44 was a little tight makes me think maybe the size 42 doesn’t actually have 19” shoulders. I wonder how they measure them.

I said size 44 beck 666 fit me really well. It was the size 42 Durable (a different TM jacket) that was very tight.

Oh sorry. yeah I have a durable as well it’s size 38 and it’s fitted in my shoulders but t shirt only in the chest and hem. The durable has wide shoulders but otherwise seems like a super trim fit. Hey so how much do you weigh? If the Beck was perfect in 44 and it looks like you are about my size but with wider shoulders maybe the 42 would work for me.

I feel like that durable looks pretty perfect on you although tough to tell how it looks in the back. I find the durable has really wide shoulders and for me at least it is very trim in the waist or hem.
Based on your size and weight I think the size 42 Beck 66 should fit. Thanks for the help.

Toys McCoy tends to have a more 'authentic' 1950s trim cut compared to Schott's modern sizing. If the seller measured the chest at 57.5cm (approx 22.6"), that’s quite generous for a size 42. For a 41" chest and 173lbs, you’re right to be cautious. Size 42 in TMC often fits like a 'relaxed' 40. However, if your ideal shoulder is 18", that 49cm (19.2") measurement the seller gave you sounds like it might indeed be too wide, leading to that 'baggy' look you’re trying to avoid with the Schott.

Naw the size 42 was actually perfect the shoulders broke down and molded and the rest of the jacket is pretty spot on. It’s strange though because I actually fit in the size 38 durable it’s just not loose I can only wear a t shirt.
