Thoughts on Master Supply Co Jackets? Mid-range quality? Decent?

Related, sort of.

I was just looking at the MSC web shop and decided to treat myself to one of their waxed canvas caps. Looks nice, reduced to £27.

But I guess I'm quite out of the loop with international shipping, as there was another £27 on top to send it.

No hat for me I guess.

Go used from an Ebay or Vinted seller that accepts returns. This covers off the fit issue, and if you continue to lose weight, you'll pretty much get your money back reselling in the future. Once you've leveled out the weight you should have a good idea on size and maybe that's the time to go for new. I'm on a very similar journey, I've lost 62lbs in the last 12 months and have gone from someone who didn't buy clothes because they never fit, to being a total boot & jacket addict, fortunately I chose to go used and have bought and sold dozens of boots and jackets over the last 12 months without losing money (I've actually gained on quite a few by finding some undervalued bargains).

I think their Field Jacket is a fantastic design in great leather options, including one of the nicest naturals out there, and one that seems to age beautifully. Some of the other designs appeal to me but would not be a first choice, I like their Motorcycle designs the least, just a subjective opinion, but then again they aren't my thing in general.

I'm very happy to see a small Canadian company doing well, and offering a decent option to Canadian buyers. I've only heard good things about their Customer Service.

Hi. I posted some time ago asking about Aero/Simmons Bilt, since I am currently on a weight loss journey, and was looking for a quality jacket to reward myself with. I've finally started to pick up momentum in that area again, but looking at the prices of Aero/SB, I'm not sure I can afford to get a jacket that I'm not 100% certain will fit properly on my body. Plus at a single glance, not many people can tell the quality, so... I think I might end up going for something a little more "mid range."

After some research, so far it seems like Master Supply might be my best option. It's a Canadian company, though the jackets are assembled in Pakistan, and I think this might be the most attractive/cost-effective option for me. I like The "Bonneville" because it LEANS heavily towards the rock/biker aesthetic without fully committing to it and making me look silly without a motorcycle. Plus tea core leather supposedly patinas faster, so... yeah.

As far as mid-range jackets go, is Master Supply a decent quality brand? Can I expect this jacket to last for much of, if not all the rest of my life? Or is this a brand that is actually significantly less quality than the ads imply? Feel free to correct me if I've made any incorrect assumptions.

Anyway I still have 32 pounds to lose before I reach my 200 lbs milestone. (Currently 232, down from 285!) So this isn't something I need to decide on immediately.

Bonneville jacket product photos. I particularly like the yoke on the back.

I have this in burnt sienna and love it. For the price point I am pleased. Now I'm debating on ordering it in black or vanguard. Theyll also customize for you. Sizing, liner, add pockets etc.
