Time, because it was funnier. Henry Luce was quite the wag in his youth.

Life or Judge?

Well. Luce's odd diction may have been amusing, but I always found his stuff to be lacking in substance when compared with the work of Albert Shaw, who's essentially conservative Progressivism is just up my alley. Of course Shaw was of a previous generation, and his prose can seem a bit pedantic to a modern, whilst Luce and Briton Haden had a fresh and modern effect which has, however dated more than a bit, I think. That said, Shaw who was born in the late 'Fifties tended to run a one man show, and by 1923, when Time magazine came out his stuff must have seemed terribly old-fashioned.

Judge, just because they published "The Waiting Room at Dang-Dang" and "How to Play Phumgrum-La!"

Nat Novick or Cookie Fairchild?

I cannot judge the West Coast parks as I've never been to them.

As a youngster, I always preferred Playland ("in easy to reach ROCKAWAY BEACH!") to Coney Island when visiting my aunt and uncle in Astoria. My favorite park at home (Cleveland) was Chippewa Lake out in Medina, OH, for Euclid Beach closed before I was old enough to appreciate it, and Puritas Springs was shuttered a few years before I was born.

New York Central or The Pennsylvania Railroad?
