Thedi hand dyed Brucciato or Badalassi?

Good morning!

After buying two jackets in a size that was not really right for me I am thinking about going custom and buying a jacket from Thedi.

After searching the forum and checking the instagram page from Thedi my eye kept coming back to this amazing repro 50’s motorcycle jacket with D-pocket. It’s one of the best designs I ever saw and it’s a big plus that Thedi is located in the EU.

My question is about the leather used for this jacket. Has anybody got some experience with the hand dyed Brucciato as seen in the pictures? It looks amazing and I think the jacket wil loose some of its black and turns into a more brownish color over years of wearing it. I am familiar with Badalassi since I recently got a black Badalassi PHM form Aero. It’s the only jacket I’ve got with the right size and the look and feel of this jacket is exactly hat I wanted. One of the minor problems is that it squeaks a lot. It does not bother me but in a quiet room it can be a little awkward. Thedi can make this particular jacket also in Badalassi. I read that he uses a different kind of Badalassi.

I am quite eager to learn about both of these leathers from experienced loungers. What can you tell me about the features of both leathers?

And I would also like to know how tight Thedi makes his jackets. I have not worked out for the past six months because of an elbow injury. This made me lose some muscle which I am planning to get back in the coming year. Nothing crazy but it would be a big letdown of the jacket will not fit after this.

Thank you in advance! After reading so many threads the past year I am hoping that there are members here that can help me with this question.

Both are great. I have Brucciato jacket and a Badalassi jacket from Thedi. The Badalassi jacket does not squeak. The Brucciato will have a bit of a tea-core effect after a while but the Badalassi will stay more consistent.

Thank you. If there are members with pictures of jackets with these leathers that would be much appreciated!

I fear a Brucciato Thedi is in my future but the wife says I have to take her to Greece and order it in person before she will consent to the purchase.
This is a great decision! I try to visit Greece twice a year, and Thessaloniki makes for an excellent starting point. From there, you can catch ferries to many stunning islands. Consider visiting Thassos, or stay on the mainland and explore Chalkidiki with a rental car—you won’t be disappointed.

Meanwhile, Theodoros is hard at work crafting your beautiful jacket, and in just three months, it will arrive at your doorstep. Sounds like a win-win to me!

That looks nice!

Any suggestions for islands further south? We will have about three weeks.

I was thinking of a few days on Crete and possibly Kefalonia. I hate crowds, but Santorini is on my wife's bucket list.
