I am curious to know how high-waisted the trousers are. It looks like the exact style and shapes I want to have replicated, and I love high waists and short vests.

I can't remember exactly, but standard 30s rise - maybe 12" or so.

It's wool. probably a bit of rayon in the fabric, too, going by the feel of it.

Dinerman, that second linen jacket with the belted back is simply amazeballs. Congrats on scoring such great orphans!

Alright gents, here's my latest pick-up, from ebay. I think i was jousting with a couple other Loungers to get it. I never really understood what a "drape" suit was until I put this jacket on. WOW. I don't think I can ever go back. Also I love the slight fishtail on the waistband of the trousers.

Here's a pretty classic looking 30's suit in a not-overly-amazing brown check fabric. Wide notch lapels, double-pleated patch pockets and a super-nipped waist. Unfortunately, the pants have been lost to time, I only have the jacket and the vest - but if anyone on here has trousers in about the same fabric, PLEASE let me know! I'd kill to unite a pair of trousers to this suit! It's undated and has no labels on any kind in it, but appears to me to be late 30's (though I'm no expert.)

While the fabric isn't too crazy, this jacket is one of my favorites because the back is insane. It's got four strips of fabric down the middle of the back that form five vertical pleats over the back belt. Any subtle flex while wearing the suit opens up the pleats and makes this jacket breath like shark gills. It's gaudy, but kinda cool!
