Sometimes it feels that way, Bob! It's tough enough to find a '40's OR in any color.... but gray was quite elusive.

Thanks... it’s not exactly from a sought after period, but it looks and feels quite nice. I expected it to be cowboy-stiff, but it’s actually softer than that. I don’t have a modern Royal Deluxe OR but I’ve tried a few on in stores. If memory serves, this feels that kind of soft.

This one's been here before, I'm sure. A color vic id'd as sky gray. I have two OR's, this and a 40's 3X in SB with an onion skin LD liner. Happy to have a different color. The softest OR or OOR that I have. The crown can be shaped however you want and the brim can be rolled up like cigarette paper w/o wrinkling but the only shape it holds is the next one.

That one looks so close in color to the non-OR Royal Deluxe I have, Greg. I've had to steam mine 3 times to get it to hold the diamond crease I like in it. It's just a wonderful, soft, velvety hat.

That’s high up on my list of colors I wish were still available. Without going through Optimo or similar you just can’t get those colors even in custom hats.

Very nice! I like the Sky Gray color also, & with the slightly contrasting ribbon & binding. Plus the added wind trolley. Fully loaded!

Thanks, HJ. I enjoy this hat a lot. It's one of those that a little light change can bring about some dramatic color changes.

I haven't been by for awhile. Things are looking quite different since I was here last.
For those of you who haven't heard, Stetson has added a couple new colors to the Vented OR line: Cognac and Chocolate. They also have a Distressed 1865 line. I'm not sure if this is new or if I'm just late to the party.

Yes they are. They are in the dress catalog and as best I can tell they are the same as the Natural and Toast 10X shantungs in the western catalog.

Can anyone tell me about Stetson OR 3X distributed by Eddie Bauer? I found one in a light moss green with both Stetson and EB stamped on the liner. It has some age but not terrible old either. Is it some special edition or just a lower quality Stetson sold to EB? Thanks. Sorry I dont have pictures at the moment.
