American Royal Parade, Kansas City, MO. Picture led by Chanute (KS) Saddle Club, followed by Saddle & Sirloin Club. Pic marked as 1950’s but the few cars that can be seen are 1940’s.
Cherokee Bill (Crawford Goldsby) (February 8, 1876 – March 17, 1896), was hanged for murders at the age of 20. This cabinet card photo must be within a yr or two of his death.

The Fort Smith connection. When the Civil War was over some of Quantrill’s men settled & lived out their lives in Fort Smith. Back in the early 2000’s there was a small Quantrill museum there but it closed during the Covid lockdown. Don’t think it ever reopened.Jack, your post put me to mind of this.
