Time constraints make us creatures of habit
I've got to say that I'm really enjoying Mr Chevalier's witticisms inserted
throughout this thread!
My routine parallels a lot you all have previously mentioned, drag my tired butt out of bed, eat breakfast, brush teeth, etc, but every morning I wait to hear the sweet little voice of my 21-month-old daughter calling from her room, "Mummy, Daddy!" I love that part of the morning. Sometimes it's at
6:45am, sometimes 7:00 or later, but whatever stage of my morning ritual I'm at, greeting her in her cot and seeing her smile makes my whole day.
I should also admit that I eat the same breakfast almost every day, Weet-Bix. Definitely a big part of my routine.
