...to be fair, though...my goretex coat and overpants I wear in the cold and rain ain't too sexy or 'manly' looking...
I wear full riding gear as well, a Tourmaster mesh suit and a Shoei full-face. The jeans and the leather fashion jacket are carried as luggage. That way when I am at the destination for the day I can change into something more decent instead of the Power Ranger look lol

I'll PM you a link where you can read some of my ride reports over at ADVrider.

Of course. But it happens a lot less often to guys in tweeds, or even leather and tweeds.

Stereotypes have a social power that being yourself - if you happen not to fit stereotypes - can't begin to approach.

Here we go, it has started, all the rationalizations are now coming forth. Yeppers, no wonder there has been a loss of the art of manliness. LMAO! :D

I am giggling that half of you think its related to appearance...half of you don't....and half of you are arguing for a more manly man...and half are arguing for more sensitivity..

I'm only arguing one thing: that ladies can be randy at times. Manly or not, it helps to be on the right barstool at that time -- and to say "yeppers".

Maybe it's just me, but the image that brings to mind is that of a freckle-faced ten year old. In short pants.
