I'll be interested to hear how you get on with this if you go for it, as I quite fancy that style myself for an alternative to my Burberry. Much as I love the Burb, it doesn't quite 'go' with casual wear the same. I think the Gunner style would work with a more casual ensemble in the same way that an A2 (as opposed to an equivalent formal overcoat) might.
