The fedora from the Crystal Skull...

Looks to me like Indy can still kick ass.
I am sure some will not like the look but with that fedora anything else is OK!
Here is the site for the pics.

I like the jacket. I don't care for those with the ribbed bottoms and cuffs. And I already have one like Shia's character is wearing, sans epaulets.

ps they spelt soul wrong in the paragraphs above the pics on Spielberg's site. @@

Even bigger$$$$ if you don't get it before the movie comes out! After that the price goes up.

Is that certain, or just a guess? I can't really afford $250, but at $300 I would just have to add Adventurebilt to the list of nice things I'll never own as long as I stay a teacher.

Steve announced awhile back that when the movie starts he is raising his price. I want to say double but I could be wrong.:(

You might check the indy site but last I heard was $500. There is also talk of coming out with a factory produced Adventurebuilt that would be at a lower price point.

I'd like to know what sort of hide Indy's jacket would be made of to look THAT good after taking beatings like getting dragged behind trucks and tanks for 20+ years. ;)

...in other words, that jacket looks way too new despite being 'weathered' by the wardrobe dept. It's beat up, but no way is it broken in.

Sleeves are way too long, too.

Who's saying Indy kept the same jacket for 20 years (or the same hat, for that matter)? Couldn't he have replaced each with similar models over the years?

My dad was like that. When one thing wore out he would go out and buy exactly the same thing again until it became unavalible. Mother said he wore blue and white Addidas sneakers (known as skater shoes now) for over a decade back in the 70's. Got PO'd when addidas stoped making that kind so he switched to Hushpuppies,....... till the day he died. So I can see a man of that generation buying the same clothing time and again. Besides would it really be an Indiana Jones movie with Harison Ford in tweeds and an old man trilby?

That's a bit of a stretch. They've got him in the exact same shirt. Heck, here's a character that risks losing his arm to retrieve a hat he could easily replace.

I was being more tounge-in-cheek, really. Still, the jacket doesn't look at all broken in.

That was the young, impetuous Indy who risked his arm- the old, doomed to immortality Indy is wiser, and knows that none of his things will outlast him.

Also, while he could easily replace the hat in New York or London, it would be a bit harder in the Incan Jungle, or wherever he was. Still, easier than replacing an arm, though.
