I’ve just purchased this vintage N1 Deck jacket from the states dated from 40’s, it’s just arrived today. The fit is great! I’m very happy with it, I’ve been on the lookout for one for a while.

Similar with Pike Brothers. With a long sleeved Tee, Henley…it keeps me warm at least down to -5C, probably lower.

The IH landed a couple weeks ago and it’s a banger. Feels stiff like new denim, but i look forward to the break in.

Looking good man!
Perfect fit and that olive is such a great color.
I ordered this color as well as the tan when they dropped on IH a few weeks ago. My plan was to try them both on and keep the one that fit and looked best. It was a really tough decision, they both looked great and in the end my girlfriend was the tiebreaker. I kept the tan and sent the olive back. Still wondering if I made the right decision there…

Thanks! How does that saying go... 2 is 1, 1 is none?

Awesome thread

Helped me a lot, as I have been after an N1 for ages, sadly for us chunky chaps, I'm a 52'' chest, finding decent jackets like this that cater for, and fit the bigger blokes is difficult, and narrows down the choice considerably, so I ended up with a Pike Brothers N1, in XXXL, I also got their waxed version for a bit more weather proofing, as I also use it when riding my chop, and I have to say I love it, awesome jacket. I found the quality. materials and construction brilliant, very tough, maybe a bit over engineered, as previously commented on, but to be honest that was exactly what I wanted, and it is also a superb fit for me. Now I am buy no means a connoisseur on the N1, but from the research I have done, it appears to be a very faithful copy, I'm certainly very happy with it. So thanks to all for the advice, experience, input, etc.

I just picked up a Schott N-1 deck jacket with duck down insulated lining. It’s super-warm, very comfortable and has a great mix of classic and updated styling. Nor are they overly expensive. They’re available in green or blue. Highly recommended!
If I were to get another N-1, this would be the one I would get. I have a down Canada Goose parka for wear on cold Sunday afternoons at NFL games. Down is my top choice for warmth, and this would be my top choice for an N-1.

You did well, Thor.
