Search the threads for hat stretching - but my 2 cents is it is worth a try, but don`t expect too much. Hats seem to have memory! But it is better than feeling uncomfortable. Nothing like a true LO size though. Good luck

You should try the curse of the round oval. There ain't no off-the-rack round ovals around. My Art Fawcetts are the only hats that really fit me.

The LO stretchers are nice but I think I may just be an ELO. I've taken one of those molding shape copying gizmos that carpenters use and got the exact shape of the noodle to transfer to the stretcher then cut away the extra. Protect thy head. Those little needles are sharp!

If the shape of your head is too cumbersome, you can always go with soft bodied caps such as flat caps (ivy), 8-panels (newsboy), etc. Shouldn't have any problems there.

Fortunately, I was apparently born with the actual mold shape that hat manufacturers use. On the other hand, the size is very unfortunate. Oh well, you can't win them all.[huh]
