+1I'd hang it on a clothes line (in a sock bag) or otherwise place it outside during the nice weather in a secure location for a coupla days. Fresh air works wonders.

If it's really dirty. What about Naptha?
For those that care, those Stagecoach pins are hard to find.I thought I'd throw up a pic of what the hat originally looked like.
Yes they are.For those that care, those Stagecoach pins are hard to find.
Nice job, imo.Well, here it is. The bow didn't turn out as well as I hoped but it has always been my weak point.
The sides are straighter than they look in the picture. I went with 2" ribbon because I still had some vintage rayon/cotton Petersham left.
Well done! I'd wear it!Well, here it is. The bow didn't turn out as well as I hoped but it has always been my weak point.

Here's a few Stagecoaches that I left Western and reworked. They've been reblocked and I also changed out the ribbons. You may also want to hang on to your Stagecoach pins as well....they started out looking like yours in the picture...I thought I'd throw up a pic of what the hat originally looked like.

Lol. You could say it and I would believe it.I wish I could say it ended up that way on purpose.

Here's an unknown Western that I converted. It was pretty beat up when I got it...
Look what I just won on the 'bay Joao.
I don't mean to poke the bear but I may end up cutting and converting it. However, I may leave the brim alone and just change the bash and ribbon. I'm not sure since I finally found a brown 'Coach in my size and converted it. Suggestions are welcome.
Nice pictures there. Sadly some are not easy to make nowadays.I've always been a big fan of the late 19th and early 20th century style hats, like the ones in early cowboy filims.
Thanks HJ. I appreciate that.TJ, I like your style with these. The lines of your hats are just great. No one does it better!
My favorites of your's are the dark brown, thin ribbon & the rust brown mid-ribbon but the overall lines are great on all of them. Thanks HJ. I appreciate that.
