Is it an authentic Borsalino?

Hi everybody! I am fairly new to hats and this website and I hope I am posting in the right section. Could someone help me understand if this Borsalino is truly from the Qualita Superiore line? I find it a little odd it doesn't have interior lining and that under the crown I cant seem to see any logo, just on the sweat band. From what I understand, the code 11xxxx and 97xxxxxx should mean it is from Qualita Superiore line and was made in 1997. I was told it was purchased in 2005. Thanks.

I don't have any information on your hat, but I am generally skeptical of the widespread existence of counterfeit hats. I'm sure somebody, somewhere, at some point in time tried to pull one over on a buyer. But just generally? I don't think there's a factory out there making knock off Borsos. And If I were trying to counterfeit hats, I would not be trying to duplicate a late 90's Borso. There's little to no collector value there. And it really would not be worth the hassle to, for example, buy a new sweatband ($15-$20), emboss it, and sew it into a different hat, for which you need a specialized sewing machine, for what? Maybe $100 on ebay?

I don't even think there is a verifiable example of a counterfeit hat anywhere on this site.

Thank you for your answer, I also think the chance of it being knock off is very low, the only thing making me skeptical was lack of logo under the crown, hoped someone can inform me if this is a thing and how common that is. All the borsalinos I saw until this point, had a logo there. Also as a side note, how much would you think that hat should cost?
