Here's one I found recently in the UK, it was in a very old Christy's box which I didn't buy....bizarrely it appears to have never had a liner fitted?
I like wearing bowlers and derbys, they are so rare in society these days. Not the most comfortable style compared to soft felts. I am a historian, and the look suits my mindset.Looks like a great hat, Mike. Nice find. Do you wear your bowler hats? I have a few of them but don't wear them.
It certainly looks good on you. It does help a lot the comfort of wearing a bowler (or top hat for that matter) to have it conformed to your head shape.I like wearing bowlers and derbys, they are so rare in society these days. I have been wearing Derby/Bowler hats off and on since 1975. (I was 20 at the time). I plan on buying a brown Derby later to fit in with my cape-costumed stage character (my image is registered with US Copyright office in costume). This is the reason for my name.
