mayser your hat has a paper size tag? your lid looks legit, but a lot of people were telling me earlier hat didn't use that. Thank you for posting this it really helps my research.

Age of this Diamante ?

Help, please ! Would like to know the age of this diamante twenty five, and am thinking there are some subject matter experts on this thread that can determine from the paper tag?

Here is one that looks more than a little bit like your hat, even from the same store, Baskin. Unfortunately the factory tag fell off the back of the sweatband, but the store price tag from Baskin says $18.95. Most of the other indicators look to be of similar vintage, I think.


What does the committee think?

Both are very nice! My guess would be late 50s to mid 60s.

I would date the hat to around 1970. That was one of our best sellers. I kept one in my size!!

I feel vindicated, as that was my guess. Maybe a touch earlier, due to the price point?

Look under the liner for the white information tag. If there is no two digit date then it is pre 1974.

What about the Eulan Bayer tag? Was it present circa 1970? This has nothing to do with Borsalino specifically.
