Okay, got a question... I spotted a hat (Stetson) at a flea market today... I've got some pics, but it's not in the best shape, so I didn't buy it... I've seen several Stetson forums here... any suggestions in which to start a conversation about it? I'd hate to make a faux pas this early...

Happy New Year to all! The parcels from Brent had 4 Borsas in. Two of them have already found good homes to be taken care of. The rest are staying with me. Not necessarily the rarest or oldest, but rather the ones that fit my head the best. The Torino I got from Bob in Uranio color. Can take (and keep) any crease you can imagine.

Excellent find, Panos. Probably mid to late sixties. The liner logo is unusual though for a hat of that period. It's a design we find more commonly on older hats.

Thank you Stefan. The liner combined with poor ebay pics and the right price made me go for that one mainly. Still not a disappointment though.

Pretty sure this Borsa is an 80s hat .. it's very light with very thin felt and a 3 1/4" whip stitched brim (still a little damp here). Tagged an 1/8th but easily more a 1/4+. Gonna' get my Santos-Dumont ON this summer!

Never seen one before. I believe Bollman held the Borsalino license for the US for a while. The "Borsalino USA" suggests it was one of theirs.

The liner suggests it might be a bit older. Very unusual for a Borsalino to run large. Nice find.

I stand corrected This type of label does give the year of manufacture: 1983.

Regular maintenance and it will last you a lifetime! I don't need brushing myself anymore and she's steaming on a regular basis, so we've got it covered
