This "Lobbia" Borsalino is old, before the WWII. It was sold in Bergamo and I suspect, as most of the hats of that period, the size will be medium fall down to small. Hope you are in the right size ;)

That's great news all around! I may have to see a witch doctor to inflate or deflate this egg. Thank you Daniele.

Thanks all!

Regretfully the sweatband condition makes me apprehensive to peek. I looked at one of the Borso books you were kind enough to post, and the proportions appear to be similar to this 1904 one...Who knows for sure though.

Would it be possible to take a clear close up of the size tag? I ask because it looks similar to one on one of my old Echter Borsalinos.

It's somewhat similar. Here is a date stamped 1929 Echter Borsalino.

Stefan's Stiff Felt has a similar size tag as my Echter Borsalino.

I think going on form is problematic because Borsalino used similar forms over long time periods. Also the condition / wear of the hat can be misleading.

I still owed you this one from last friday. Borsalino Export Qualität Gran Lusso homburg in black. Size 57, bound brim at 5,5cm and crown 10cm at the pinch. Lined with an onionskin covering of the crown patch (love those liners). What makes this one different from the other borsalino homburgs I have is that this one has a windcord (no button though). Mid fifties to mid sixties.
