Felt is flawless, fit is a tad snug, but acceptably so. It exudes an unidentifiable vintage odor, though, so into the bucket-full-of-paper it goes for a few days.

My is a qualita speciale with a very thick and strong fur felt.

Mine is Augusta, which if I understand rightly is a more ordinary grade, but the felt is great, thick and strong as you describe, and takes a shape nicely.

Great Ad For the Dobbs Borsalino. I have had 3-4 avorios come my way and they are great hats.
