Personal collection pick from 2009 is my Hückel Superior.

I especially liked rlk's Huckel, and probably half of Garrett's 30's style black hats, but this Playboy of Bolthead's really stood out, and I'm hoping to see some better pics:

I was not sure, it the Superior was a 2009 aquisition of yours. It is definitely one of the non plus ultras!

It was a 01/09 acquisition. I sure wish I could find another one (same with your Super Sport).

It was out of Bulgaria via eBay and size 58cm. It had a set price but I offered way below and they accepted. It is late 30s early 40s and made at the Johann Hückel´s Söhne Nový Jičín factory (now TONAK). I am not sure of the felt content but it is very dense. I was told by the Nový Jičín City Museum hat curator the Superior line was the highest quality Hückel produced.

2009 was the first year in some time that I sold off more hats than I purchased. :eusa_doh:

My sole acquisition was this Montecristi blocked by Art Fawcett, and based on the Dobbs Westward. I put it forth as my Best of 2009:
