Do you think it’s possible that psychics exist who can see the future?
Granted, this guy seems to have a pretty good track record…

But at times his predictions are fairly Vague. But then again, sometimes they are close to the mark.

Of course, if true, we would have to rewrite what we think we know about how the universe works.

What do you think?

Yes...in a manner of speaking, that is. One that I've spoken to was my late Mother-in-Law's in-home caregiver back in the mid-1980s when she was going through treatments for lung and brain cancer. English was not this woman's primary language, so sometimes having conversations with her became a bit of a guessing game because she would be in mid-sentence and just stop--searching her mind for the correct words to use to finish what she was saying. She was very nice, but the way she went about explaining and exhibiting her psychic abilities was sometimes a little odd when she couldn't find the words and would get embarrassed. Eventually we just stuck to more general conversations and Mother-in-Law's healthcare, and that seemed to suit her just fine.

Another was a woman my wife worked with for more than a few years. This was nearly a decade after Mother-in-Law died, and this woman was able to communicate her experiences with us more easily since English was her primary language. She was more hesitant to speak of her experiences because she'd lost friends in the past because of things she told them, and they blamed her for whatever happened to them, because, "Well, you told me such and such was going to happen. How could you know that if you weren't involved?" Yeeaaahhhh...it doesn't work that way. Not for this woman, at least.

Anyway, yes, I believe there are humans on this planet who are able to tune into the universe and interpret specific messages and events that they're "told" will happen, but...well, a sufficient in-depth explanation would take pages, and I'm pretty sure I'm not the right person for that anyway.

As much as I would like there were something out there, my problem is that I don't know of a single controlled, scientificic experiment on the subject with positive result.
Wouldn't it be just as easy to produce these fascinating fenomena in controlled conditions?

I think some controlled science has been done —and continues to be done— on this topic and it indicates that there is indeed something to this psychic stuff.

Interesting. But could the results be replicated??.
Well, Yes, they could. 90 experiments, 33 universities, 14 countries:

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4706048/

HOWEVER: the effect, though very real, is small. And no matter how good the experiment is, arguments can always be made regarding possible flaws, bias during the execution of the experiment, alternative statistical interpretations, etc., etc.

Also worth a look is the following study that is completely unrelated to the case above. (To “cut to the chase” scroll down towards the end and read the paragraph immediately before the heading “Peer Review”. In short, this study also concludes that something unexplainable is apparently going on.)

The following also caught my attention:

Anyway, it is a very interesting topic. Serious work is being done to look at the claims, but it’s Professional suicide for a scientist or academic to say that psychic abilities are real.
