I don't know. I do know I have seen this booklet before in the Lounge.

Stetson invoice from 1877

Stetson invoice from 1877. It appears to be signed, John B. Stetson. I suppose it could really be his signature.

That is an AMAZING find! Its very likely his real signature! Considering the company was only 12 years old at the time, I would have to assume that major invoices ($152.28 was a lot of money back then) would have passed his desk for approval.


Many letters in both signatures look to be identical to this documented signature on this 1882 Ad from the Sacramento Daily Record

Possible, but the mark below the signature on the invoice might be from the clerk who prepared it. Either way, a wonderful early Stetson document.
