I googled lost worlds trojan and no fit pic images came up. Surely someone here has one (@Carlos840j

Here are some Trojan fit photos that I posted earlier this year in the WJAYWT thread. It’s a little fussy in the shoulders and the arms are too short, but it’s a perfect fit in the torso.

The fussy shoulders might be a defect of this specific jacket, though. I’m at least the third TFL owner due to the shoulders (I’d love to hear others’ experience with a LW Trojan). I hope they open up with regular wear, but I’m in SE Asia till the new year so the break-in is on hold.

I have a LW Trojan with all the bells and whistles. Mine is thick and stiff. The thick wool lining that Stu offered makes it difficult to wear at times. Mine looks different from yours due to the leather thickness, I think. The jacket runs short. This new Star Glove is a different design. It's roots are from the Trojan? As far I know, Trojan started in the early 30s. Perhaps Stu got the design from an actual star glove sample that came from the star glove? The Star glove company started a little later than the Trojan. What I see different in the glove star jacket from the Vanson is the longer torso and the back design. Furthermore, the D pocket is bigger than the Trojan, but the smaller pocket is exactly the same as the Trojans. Back in the day, Trojan had expensive jackets that were in the $60 dollar range with all the bells and whistles. Stu makes a beautiful belt feature in the Trojan for additionally $250. The best belt I have ever seen. The original Trojan was advertised as a 2.5" belt. Personally, I have seen an original one in the flesh and those were 2.25" standard brownies. I purchased several remnants leather lots from Stu. My goal is to make several brown and black belts and mouton collars to match my LW little kittens.

Stuart said they came upon some good pics of this Star Glove design + with owning and being familiar with the construction of orig. Cal CHPs and Trojans, it was easy to go from there and they were able to offer this as a new mainstay on the website. Not the first time they've done such a thing - their Appalachian was based on looking at pics of an original.

I do like that belt and the way it tapers at the ends - looks sleek.

If there is any interest, I will take some images of my three different brand interpretation of the 401 Trojan.
Yes please

I’m not convinced that the torso is “long”. Here is an ad for original Trojans where the jackets completely cover the belt line. Okay, those trousers are worn a bit higher than mine but not that much higher - the jeans I am wearing are up above my hips and my jacket does not completely cover the front belt loops.

I’d say the length on mine looks pretty accurate if these advertisement photos are a measuring rod - at least, not different enough to be called “long”.

However, if you are questioning whether mine is a LW Trojan, let me just say that it is untagged. Here is the TFL classifieds ad for it from summer, 2023 (I bought the jacket on eBay from the Lounger who purchased it from this classifieds ad). I’m convinced it is LW but won’t argue the point if you disagree.

Nice find - always like seeing the original ads. Just uploading a higher-res version.

I was not questioning about the brand of your jacket. That was not my intention. Feel kind of bad that anyone will think of me as such a person. What ever it is about your jacket has nothing to do with me. I do not criticize other members regarding those things. However, your jacket does not look STANDARD Lost Word's Trojan production. I have seen longer LW Trojan that were custom-made when added length to the torso. I know of one member here who actually share with me, he had Stu added length to the torso of his Trojan.

Lastly, I just noticed the included link. That jacket is a LW. However, it does not look as short as the standard lw cut. Additionally, in the images of you wearing the jacket, the fits look long to me. Perhaps the angle in which the image was taken gives a different prospective of the cut and how it fits you. Mine is a size 46 with the 4oz+ and very thick wool lining. The back length is 23 My LW j23 is 25 inches.

I am in Asia right now and can’t get better photos of my Trojan, but here is the back measurement photo of it from the eBay listing - it’s roughly 22.5 inches at its longest point from the collar. I can’t say if that is standard length or not (maybe you can) but it is actually just the right length for me.

Here is the back photo from the LW’s site. To my eye, mine looks identical to it in every way including panel proportions, but maybe you can see some differences.

Also, you’ll notice that LW describes the liner as “pure heavyweight nylon satin” (I circled that in blue in the photo), which is what I have, whereas yours is “very thick wool”. So according to the website, yours has at least a non-standard lining, meaning it might not be the best measuring tool for deciding whether another LW Trojan is standard or deviation.

What ever you write... It is cool with me. The lining has nothing to do with the length of the jacket. Now that you share an image of the jacket, it looks to me like a 22. Not a 22.5. Weather is the length is, 22 to 23 is considered short in my book. As others have stated in previous Trojan discussions, the jacket's the cut is short regardless of the lining leather thickness or type. This is my last in this comment thread, as I do not want to distract from the original post. However, If you want to continue with your discussion about lining and leather length, just let me know, and we can continue in another way you see it fit.

I’m absolutely not fussed about it. I don’t believe it’s an inappropriate discussion for this thread in case somebody comes along and compares the Trojan and the Star Glove. But I believe you and I are talking past each other so I’m happy to end this here rather than go pedantic. Have a great weekend.
