He found one! Moreover, he found a BIG one, in his size!!! I need to mention again, @Stackdescendant how fortunate you are to have found this hat in this SIZE, and it didn’t take you years. So cool!!! You who have been seeking XXL vintage lids know the difficulty in obtaining those hats.

The meeting….

And to you too, Charlie. For parting with a nice rare hat. Fantastic display!
Thanks, Jack. But, truth be told, I believe most of us would have made the same decision. This hat has been and now will continue to be loved and truly cherished in perpetuity. I feel tremendous gratification knowing that.
Moreover, I could never continue to want and want, (and WANT) never happy or satisfied. Those types of people can never be content. I know a guy like that, and I feel sad for him.

Just to add to the Stack Hat discussion. Estate find this weekend. Possible 1940's Stack 'Borso'. It's in excellent shape, and in my size! (7.5) It does need just a little sream to fix the shape. The hat was sold in San Francisco, just across the bay by Hirsch & Price. From the discussion here, it was probably made in the 40's. (I don't know if the red '45' on the union label means anything.
I just liked the hat, and that it came with a nice Knox hat box (and ridiculously cheap!). I had no idea it is a rarity.
The hat does not have the cushion venting I have seen in other pics and it looks different from most of the other pics here (narrow band). But I think you all will enjoy it. The other plus, my girlfriend likes it on me. :)

Excellent looking hat Gentleman Warthog! Great find!
It is very interesting to me how the Stack hat brand found its way all over the country and how it was distributed. I am accelerating my research of my great grandfather and the Fedoralounge forum has provided a treasure full of history. I don't have a sense of the scale of Production output Stack Hats had. That would give me a better understanding of how many hats were potentially in the marketplace.
Thanks for sharing.
