Wow, fantastic, have you taken these images yourself? what intregues me is the change in style as the time change. we can clearly see the more softer/rounded spade on the 30s.

These images were taken by me.
What do you intend to use them for?

Im trying to document the history of spades you see, and would like to put it up on my website, www.aceofspadesshoes.com, im quite passionate about spades and want to make them avaiable again. Im also trying to make a catalog and include the history of spades. But I will not do this without your permission of course.

What I would suggest is this:
First some background, I spend the time researching various subjects I find interesting for inclusion on this site for academic and non-commercial purposes, so I am not concerned about any copyright issues arising, and therefore I do not not cite the source.

If you intend to use images similar to those I have provided for commercial purposes for your shoe business I would highly recommend citing the source of the images. To this end, I would suggest investing in a membership to Newspapers.com, it is relatively inexpensive, and most of them images I have shared are available there with the the source.
Newspaper names, dates, volume etc.
As a historian and researcher I prefer you not use my research for commercial enterprise.

Hello, Yes I will of course respect your right to not be cited or used in any commercial activity. I would just point out we do this out of shear intrest in history and would like to get our facts right. out of respect tohistory, and this project is only made for the passion of the past and spades soles. We will not use any content you have provided, and search for the content ourself.

Thank you for the link. I will use it accordingly.
