She hates the very mention of cold weather. Not that anyone but me ever clears driveway and sidewalks of the white stuff, mind you. The price of domestic tranquility being that I confine such statements to this forum- at least until August when the heat gets even more brutal.

Now I understand.
I have relatives like that.
Sorry you have to put up with that.

Have a nice day, you are among friends here! :)

P.S. to Swanson_eyes, I dated a girl with curly hair twenty-plus years ago and her entire frame of reference for a day was if her hair would be "poofing" or not. She was pretty cool about it, but never a day went by with her that I didn't know what the poof meter was reading.
It does what it wants and I just go along for the ride. Well, in summer I do. There is zero point in any kind of roller set because it *will* revert to natural curl. And sometimes I get tornado hair, which is when it starts reaching for the sky. I mean, there's frizz and then there's frizz. Today it looks like cotton candy.

There is a very definite progression of the seasons at work -- there are certain events that happen every summer, and each year when they come it's a sign that summer is that much closer to being over. This weekend marks the third such event. There are only two left and then summer is over. That ticks me off.

When you see the posters go up for the county agricultural fair, you know that the end is fast approaching. I saw the first poster today. That ticks me off.

The arrival of fall coincides with an annual event I dread to my very core. It's less than sixty days away. That really ticks me off.

Outdoor Christmas lights never came down in my neck of the woods.
Just waiting to be plugged back in.

I need to buy B-Bs for my Red Ryder carbine action two-hundred shot
range model air rifle .
I’m sure Santa would understand. :p

Sometimes I go to work with different color socks or the shirt is inside out.

Nobody notices or cares.:(

Not until I’m fully awake & noticed that the “pony” label on my polo shirt has
traveled to the other side of my chest do I realize the situation. :p

It's hot and I'm cranky and crabby, so I'll offer up a couple annoyances du jour.

Why is it that so often when I'm backing out of a parking space at the grocery store, there will invariably be someone who feels the need to zing by behind me? I can see how it could happen as I'm just starting to back out, but so often it's after I halfway backed into the isle. Clearly there's a car there and its backing into the lane, do you really need to get by that badly? Unbelievable.

Social media - not being an eighth grade girl, I don't do social media, and it irks me to no end when people rely on social media as a means of communication. This happened most recently at a day camp my son attended. Here in Cleveland people were freaked out over the potential for stupidity during the recent Republican convention, consequently heightened security measures and lock down procedures were in place just about everywher. Except my son's day camp at University Circle (next to Case Western Reserve, University circle and several museums = soft targets for stupidity), they told us that if anything happened it would be announced on facebook. Seriously?!!! I trust my kid with you and you expect me to go to social media to find out what's going on? I don't think so.
