I feel your pain, and Lizzie's too. Some years ago, I was taken for ten grand by non other than Kodak. They had a company in the UK called Print Movers. What they did was to collect customers 35mm film from photographic shops, pharmacies and other outlets, take the film back to their laboratories, develop them and return the prints next day. My company did all the delivering and collecting for a large area around London. When digital photography came along, Kodak put Print Movers into administration, ring fencing it of course. However, the receivers found some sort of shenanigans had been going on and as a result of that, we received about six and half grand back, paid in installments over a three year period. Pity those that went down in the domino pile with Print Movers. You only got your money back if you were still trading.I got stung for nearly two grand by a publisher who filed for bankruptcy. The worst of it is that this publisher had a personal wealth in the millions, but the publication itself was incorporated, of course, so the scalawag's personal assets were shielded.
