Show Us Your Tractors

In the spirit of showing off the things we live with, everything from watches and pens to stoves and refrigerators, I got to thinking there must be some country folk among you FL'ers. We have a number of tractors and I know there are a lot of vintage farm machinery collectors out there. We are members of a steam and gas engine club and put on a show every year. We also go to several shows a year. I figure there must be some old iron nuts in the FL crowd.
I decided to start it off by putting up a picture of one of my favorite toys. This is a 1927 McCormick Deering 10-20. We have about 20 acres of woods with trails around. I crank it up and go out in the woods for a ride or if I'm actually doing something out there. When I go berry picking around this time of year I crawl way out back with it and shut it off knowing that I have to hand crank it to get home when I'm done. It hasn't left me out there yet. Except when I ran out of gas. Well its a lot of fun and usefull as well.
What cool toys do you all have out there ?

I have a 50 horsepower Deutz tractor I use on the farm. I've owned it since the 1970's (I believe it's a '68 or '70 model). It's seen a lot of hard use over the years, but still runs good.

I don't have a good photo of it on my computer, but I have a '36 Farmall F20 out in my pole barn. I have not run it for a number of years, but I give it a crank every time I walk by it.
I also have a '52 Ford 8N, but I hardly think of it as a vintage tractor-it still is a working tractor. I depend on it to keep the grass cut and the snow plowed.

I love old tractors. My husband and I looked at a couple a few years ago but we just couldn't justify it as we live in a suburb and well money.... but keep those pictures coming.
I just saw some really good ones at the state fair here but didn't take any picts.

You can still get most parts for this old David Brown, but they cost A LOT, which is why I source my own wherever possible

Married a woman who lived in rural southern Ohio, that's how!

The tractor is a mid-60s International Harvester 404 (gasoline) that started life wearing yellow as a highway department tractor somewhere down south. My father-in-law's cousin bought it at auction in the '60s, then sold it to my f-in-l who used it until I retired from the USAF in 2005, when he gave it to us. He had just bought another tractor from his cousin.

The first two photos are from last year, after having the engine rebuilt.

And this one is from October 2005, shortly after we got it. The would-be driver is our granddaughter.

It now needs hydraulic work (hydraulics failed last fall) and there's a short somewhere in the wiring. I haven't had time to work on it between work and school, so the fields have not been mowed this year.

1960 A/C D10 Tractor

One of Dad's parade tractors. He's taken all of his chore tractors and turned them into parade tractors. He sold his little Farmall C that was just as cute. He has a nice 1964 Ford 2000Dexta I'll post later.

I learned how to mow our lawn on a Farmall C. I also learned how to drive in general on that thing!

Pretty much learned to drive with a Farmall H cultivating beans and corn That and a hay truck.

Leave it to you, FountainPenGirl, to start a thread about tractors!! lol It's just a short step from autos to tractors. We've two Farmall Ms, circa early 1950s (have to check with the hubby for exact dates). By the photos you can tell they are not parade tractors (although your dad's is gorgeous, Highlander). Bertha is our wide front with the trip bucket. She's partial to plowing the driveway and dragging wood from the back 40. Betty is the narrow front and queen of the hay field. Both are housed in the rough timber machine shed, complete with pigeon coop in the peak (inhabited for the first time this year).

Ah, yes, the M was a great tractor for it's time, pulling a three bottom plow, and the Super M a super tractor. You other "H" is also a great tractor for small farm use.

This thread needs a bump. Since I changed my avatar I suppose I should show its inspiration. This is the tractor we use on the property we inherited from my wife's family. It belonged to her grandfather and is a 1958 Ford 860 (5-speed, live PTO).

I found and purchased this reversible scoop on craigslist over the weekend. I was needing one and this just happened to be the same model available for this tractor when new. Can't wait to try it out this weekend.

1947 Ford 8N that belonged to my grandfather. It's still in the family. My uncle restored it a few years back and built the custom kid hauler for it.
