How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

Just bought a Dainese d dry tempest 3 jacket, new,just in case i fk up and get caught out in the rain ,have to spendthemoneyi put by for the Schott 618 I missed out on .

I really don’t know why but I recently had a feeling that my life would be complete if I could cosplay as an Ivy League preppy guy. So I bought a cricket sweater and a navy blue club blazer.
As I said, I don’t really know why I wanted this cause this style is normally worn by annoying rich people who are into sailing, golfing and horse polo. But here we are. I’ll report back if these items made me feel whole.

I totally get it. Some preppy style looks really good, even if the wearers are douche bags.

I bought a couple of cricket jumpers a while ago, leaning into my Australian heritage. I like the look of them, but wearing them in the US I felt a bit like I was cosplaying a Brett Easton Ellis character off to the country club.

Another example of context being everything, like why I won’t wear western stuff while living in Texas. But I can’t imagine what cultural contexts these have in your neck of the woods.

I still wear the tweedy and corduroy sports jackets I got at the same time. I now call that my ‘looking like an alcoholic history teacher era’

It was a big Easter weekend for me. Just bought a Premier Half belt from Fonzi. Thank you Fonzie. And a new ELMC Californian from Historical preservation for $950 all in. It was on clearance. Filled with anticipation now. Happy Easter y’all!

Nice work James, the Aero PHB will be on your way soon and hopefully it will give you service for years to come, it's a stunning jacket and I'm sure you'll love it. The ELMC is also amazing, I'm sure you'll love it too and you got a great deal there!

Thinking of picking up this schott as I thought it was quite cool.

However, my main reservation is that it looks like it could be quite boxy.

It has a 22in pit to pit and a 20.5 inch waist. Thats quite boxy right?

What do you guys think, do I pull the trigger?

I've always been very impressed with stuff from Pike Brothers.
Found this gently used XS sized Pea Coat for less than 1/4 price of a new one in Germany.
Took a while for it to get here and the weather is no longer cold enough to justify wearing it, but overall I'm very happy with this gamble.
Fit is great, quality and construction super solid, thick melton style 1000g/m2 felt wool material.
I can finally say I have a well fitting Pea Coat. First the N1, now this.. Thanks PIKE BROTHERS!
Here's how it looks like in comparison to my current wool coat which I've worn for more than 7 years every winter. It's also a fantastic coat consider it came from a mall brand (Jack n Jones). A much more modern and sleek interpretation, but I've been very happy with it! My wife even moved a few of the buttons in to make it even more slim in the waist.
Sorry about the greasy mohawk haha.
What do you think guys? Modern vs classic?

Nothing wrong with the Jack N Jones coat, a bit to modern for me personally, but in my eyes the Pike Brother blows it away without question

Both coats looks good on you(that PB fits you amazing!), and from my personal experience there's nothing wrong with Jack N Jones quality vise(especially for the price!) but I'm a sucker for a classic peacoat so the Pike would be my choice 8/7 days of the week

I think both look great as well! At a glance, I wouldn't be able to tell which one is the mall brand and which isn't. Actually what surprises me is that the Jack N Jones is actually wool, even if not 100%.

I might look into Pike Brothers for a peacoat myself, as the one I got I've outgrown in the chest area (should sell it, but I'm lazy to take pictures and such lol).

Both coats look great. I love the collar on the Jack and Jones. I've a few tops from them and I'm happy with the quality at the price point.
