Nice start Jamesmac1801! Welcome to the fun, I'm sure if you spend much time around here, that collection will get completely out of hand. I really like the one to the far left in the photo.
Yup haha thanks I like that one too. That's my oldest one so far my only 40s tie . I learned some of my tie dating tricks on here and from one of my friends.

All right.....Tapatalk rebooted, now I can post pics again. Here's a few I rounded up while I was out of the loop.

First up....Fashion Craft with interesting dude in a turban playing a guitar to a deer....

and this no-name one

These two were part of a lot I posted some of awhile back. They were soaking in oxy-clean at the time. It helped some, but they still got some rough spots.

Next up, a couple of skinnier 50s models.

Scored this Wembley at a local antique mall for $2. I dig the cool boomerang pattern.

And finally, a couple of what I'm guessing to be early 50s unlined handpainteds.

Andre of California with falling leaves.

It came out looking black in the photo, but really its a deep purplish blue.

And finally, I splurged a little on this one, but I really dug it....and if I don't get myself a little Christmas gift, no one else is gonna....

Thanks Bob. Yeah, I paid 6 months worth of thrift store ties for that one, but I had to have it.

I was perusing through an antique shop and was about to give up sifting through their assortment of "vintage" 70s/80's/90's ties when I spotted this diamond in the rough...

It was listed as a "1940's Tie," however I could tell immediately that it was much older than that.
How old is my question though. Since I've never come into contact with anything quite this old before, I'm having a harder time dating it.
It is probably the shortest tie I've ever handled, and it was very silky. My guess is it's from late 1910's/early 1920's. Please share your inputs though.

Additionally, it is being sold for $22.50. I don't really have any experience with pre-1930's ties, so in your opinions, is this worth it??? Is it worth more??? Less???
Thanks in advance!

(I included the half dollar as a reference to size)

Nice! Love that rounded end stitching. Probably 1910s 1920s? Looks like when it ties the rear blade will be longer that the front. I have a couple of those rare compared to most. Price is probably right - there's a similar one on ebay for about that much. HBK knows more than I do.

Nice find MelancholicNostalgic. I agree...definitely older than 40s, and fantastic colors.

Nice finds Herringbonekid. They look to be in great shape. I like the colors, especially the one on the left.
