Yes, and for $7.95 I'll give you a tip...Choose a cheaper tie. It's hard to believe that it could have been that costly, especially since the common price for that time was $1-$2.

That was what I was thinking. :p Imagine the person that actually bought the tie originally. They must have been fairly wealthy to blow that much on a tie. Equal to a Sulka tie of the same age.
 
Another Sear’s Pilgrim Cravats necktie, dating again from the middle 1940s, like the fossils tie of a few days ago. I bought this in the same lot of ties, so I guess they were bought by the same fellow and never worn. A strange array of brown splotches and yellow lines, which seems a bit like a mad town planning map, a warped and twisted gridiron, with plots of land for building or open space, and roads in between.
