Thin ties have their place. If I have a suit jacket on that has thinner lapels, I generally won't wear a bold tie with it.

That is usually never though because it's B-O-R-I-N-G

The Towncraft, I don't even know why I bought it. It's ridiculously skinny. I guess I just couldn't let vintage sit on the shelf.

As for the Beau Brummel, I was thrilled about it. Not only do I really like the tie (though I'll never get to wear it) It's from a local retailer that shut down a couple years ago. Some of the stuff that sat around the back all these years comes up for sale now and then, such as this one.

James, those ties are fantastic, all these Bold Look ties are changing my opinion on whether or not to buy a few that are NOS from a local vintage shop (price has been stopping me, $30 per!)

Yes, it is a kick to get NOS anything from a store which has kept it in storage for years...
