It looks like a knot planned tie as well. It should look interesting with that crackle field above the lightning bolt.
Like Skyvue's recent tie, though, the secondary pattern comes in at an angle.

Have I shown this before? c. early-'50s, acetate, with diagonal pleats and a cool lion (with shield). Extra points if you can guess this brand which still exists, but whose ties are no-where as cool anymore...
