I've wondered if this Wembley design was an inspiration for Chicago's Sear's Tower a couple decades later...

Cutter Cravats put out some pretty intense geometric designs.

^^Man, Quigley, where do you find all these dual prints? Wembley certainly had some solid early designs.
a few for St. Pat's Day...

I'd say you could pass for a Phillip Marlowe or a Sam Spade anyday, just don't go cracking foxy on me!
You certainly went back on this thread to find these shots...![]()

This is my first vintage tie purchase, to be used mainly when out at night swing dancing and having a good time. No labels on the back. It was in the 1940's tie box at the place I got it, though I guess it's hard to tell without any ID. It sure looks and feels 40's. There is a stain on the bottom flower that apparently can't be removed, but I was mentally prepared for that and not really concerned about it - I'll wear it all the same.
Mid 1950s.

NOS, c.late-50s, rayon/acetate. Really like the colors and geometric designs on this one. (Brooks Brothers shirt is also NOS; best shirt I've had.)

I'd say it actually mid-1950s judging by the width (less than the wide-40s and more than the thinner late-50s) and a simpler design (I've seen many designs from that era featuring 'mirrored' shapes on them). The fabric is that period, but I don't know what it is. I think Widebrim would know it, though.![]()
Mid 1950s.
