Bought this mandolin at a garage sale for $5. It is really beat. There were some loose, rusty strings on it and the bridge was inside it. I put on some new strings and am slowly tightening them. The mandolin is a Washburn model 1923-24.

I found this small bronze head of the Madonna in a thrift store a couple of years ago and bought it for $7. It is a Viennese Hagenauer Art Deco bronze. It was in a box full of cheap brass stuff.

I also found this little plastic 1972 Munich Olympics mascot in another thrift store. This one cost me $3. It is made by Goebbels, the company that made those Hummel figures.

And I thought out I made out like a bandit for buying a used one for $50 a few years back. Mine's an off-white example with the Hobart label, which means it predates Whirlpool's acquisition of the KitchenAid brand, in, like, 1985 or so.

Picked this up for 25 cents at an estate sale.
Wards "Precision" Fly Reel No. 2683. Virtually identical to the Kalamazoo "Emperor" 1684 and was probably made by Kalamazoo for Montgomery Ward.

What a great find! I love fishing for trout with a click/pawl and palming rim.
