I don't remember if I posted this one before but here it is Stetson.
Stetson is one of my favortite brands of the age.

Gorgeous! Is that the Saratoga Last? Last year I came across 3 pairs of ventilated Specs & a pair of black alligator Stetsons. All on the Saratoge. what a great last. sadly, they were all size 10+, so off they went, scattered to the 4 corners of the world... and onto some happy (and big) feet.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I could have likely fit some of those with my big 10 1/2-11 feet.:eusa_doh:
I think they are on the Saratoga last if I remember right. They were a mess when I first got them---mold and everything. I was surprised they cleaned up fine and on they went on my feet. :p The gray buck sold me on them. I have never seen another pair like it but I am sure you have. :p

VERY happy to hear your refurbishment story. Quality ALWAYS cleans up well (or as well as possible). congrats!

so, how did you refurbish them, I'd love the details

I am afraid it was nothing technical really. In fact it was sort of accidental.
I saw that the shoes had mold on the inside of them and had a few choice words to say. So I grabbed the Lysol and sprayed the heck out of the inside of them so it wouldn't travel to anything else. I just put them aside under the vanity after that. I forget how long they sat but when I came across them again, all the mold was gone! I wiped them out carefully and checked them out. They appeared fine even though I had written them off. Now they were good enough for me to try on. They looked really narrow and I have a wide foot. That was part of the reason I set them aside too. I tried them on and they fit. Works for me so I treated them with either Bick or Lexol---heavily. The soles included. They sucked in plenty and I shined them up after that. They have been great shoes ever since.
I am sure that this is not exactly the right way to handle shoes with Lysol and all but my intention at the beginning was simply to contain it. :p
