Carrolls was one of my favorite shops when I lived in BH.
Carroll's was always a favorite of mine when I live in LA. It's nice to know it's thriving still.

a pair of dress boots. 1930's and a pair of 40's suede wedges
That tie is almost like a Fornasetti design. The shoes are wood pegged on the waist.

What I miss is the late, lamented At-Ease , Al Douglass's shop ... especially the one in Westwood Village. Much like Carroll's, but with a more youthful (collegiate?) sensibility.
