Very nice scatterguns.
Very nice scatterguns.
Part of my ever-growing vintage LAPD collection, S&W K38 Target Masterpiece (Model 14, .38 special) 6" barrel, in the correct 1950s-1970s "clamshell" holster. Replica Pete Malloy (Adam-12) policeman badge as well. These were carried in this rig in the 1950s through the 60s, then LAPD cut these down to 4".

Very nice!!! All you need now is a set of Farrant Grips like Malloy had. The grips in the show were made by custom grip maker and LAPD Rangemaster Earl "Fuzzy" Farrant. I love those old K frame revolvers.

Was it ever fired? I know it is not uncommon to find them either unfired, or only a few rounds through them, because of all the hype about there alleged kick! I remember the first time I shot one, I was so nervous, thinking it was going to smack me in the face, to bad there's no video of me, must have been really funny to watch. So I added another S&W to my collection recently. This one needs no introduction other than, "do you feel lucky, punk?" Model 29-2, 6.5" barrel, .44 Mag., this one manufactured around 1976:

.44 magnum is fun to shoot, but it is expensive unless you reload your brass.
