I suspect that was done by Navy Arms back in the '70's or 80's. I wish I'd had the cash to get one then. I've got a match Cadet right now that I need to repair the buttplate on . . . someday.
This wasn't one of the Navy Arms conversions, as there are some things that are "Bubba'd" on this gun. Not the least of which are the vise (or wrench) marks on the receiver from the re-barreling process and the electro-penciled ".357 Mag" on the barrel in writing that looks much like hieroglyphics.

A few of my antique weapons:
a nasty old jezail from the 'Stan
a beat up Forehand & Wadsworth "suicide special" .38
an 1871 Adams .45 Colt Short (sadly wrecked by an incompetent gunsmith, but a fine wall hanger nonetheless!)
an assemblage of various bits and pieces of iron mongery from the far-flung reaches of the Empire.

Kilroy,

What a neat little Martini. I'd love to find one that was converted. A couple years ago, I could have gotten a unmodified one for $300, but I passed.

Did someone say something about a rifle in 44-40? Here are a couple shots of my 44-40 '73 reproduction.

I've had it since the fall of '96 when I started shooting in WAS (Western Action Shooting) matches. Mostly NCOWS but also SASS.

Well behind the front lines!
I showed off a few of my toys at an airshow last weekend with my Jeep.

Hello, I'm looking into getting a present for my grandfather, who is absolutely nuts about old pistols. I'm willing to spend whatever it may cost to get the perfect piece, but there is one gun in particular I've been thinking about. When he was in the army, he captured a stolen Webley Mark IV, and he lost it a few years ago in a game of cards. I was wondering what an acceptable price would be for one. I don't want a show piece, my grandfather likes aged things(rather like himself...and whiskey), so something worn on the outside but functioning and shootable. Anyone know how much they would cost and where I'd look for one?

There are four major gun online auction sites. Take a look on Gunsamerica.com, Auctionarms.com, gunbroker.com and gunsinternational.com. I'm pretty sure you should find what yo want fairly shortly. It's a common enough pistol.
